Live reviews of the band
CD Review
They're back again! If there is a band that has the Nu Metal inflation survived reasonably unscathed, then there are I LL NIÑO. Anyone who does not get gagged at the words "Nu", "Modern" and not least "Latin Metal", agu knows the guys from New Jerysey - most people but they are likely to have sufficiently celebrated. After six albums it falls such luminary experience, hard, on the one hand continue to captivate the large following in the usual manner, but also to address this new clientele. In recent years, voices have been increasingly loud, although the 2001-he wanted ILL Niños have back, but on the other hand, complained that they were copies agu of already published Bespaßungen at the last longplayer. The crux, once well known to combine with the new, freely and not to change substantially or to disgrace even have the guys with "Till Death, La Familia" when I have perfectly mastered agu and even delivered more expected (as years of fan) personally.
The opening track "Live Like There's No Tomorrow" begins with astonishing neumodisch-electronic sounds and the comparison to ANDREW WK (singalong choruses plus 4/4 time) and SOILWORK beginnings (riffs and Schürungen) comes on, but the charm is hidden well known, always in detail. After a few minutes agu the spark jumps across agu and the famous agu percussion and melodic riff lined up to Clean songs and acoustic guitar parts. Particularly noteworthy is the title with the name is "Are We So": He starts much harder than its predecessor and I LL is NIÑO-technically extremely atypical, but has vocally the most variety and is reflected in the core right core-heavy, what next moment but is again replaced by the well-known Latin American percussion and melodic pampering. But "World So Cold", "Payaso" and "I'm Not The Enemy" strum up from the first second ear.
Not least because it is at this point, the Fronter utter praise: Vocally is "Till agu Death, La Familia" probably the most diverse album that you get to hear from ILL NIÑO today. agu Christian Machado has expanded its range one more time and alternate agu between the familiar and well-staged Clean vocals to pressure building Shouts and surprising agu deathcore screams. If we are to be quite honest, just might be the beginning of "Pray I Do not Find You" have been sung by Corey Taylor and rather nostalgic lyrics of "World So Cold" fits the new guise as chalk and cheese. If ILL NIÑO have another outstanding strength, then it is thoroughly convincing quality: The album has no "weak" moments, what is owed to songwriters Ahrue Luster and Laz Pina and not least Machado's texts. The items are mind differently - both in tenor and in terms of content and level of aggression - but knows each piece to convince. Softener songs are available on "Till Death, La Familia" anyway a few, which does not mean that the melodic agu deposits are too short. Furthermore, the entire production revamped by almost Djent-sounding gimmicks, while the character of ILL NIÑO remains unaffected and rather you get the feeling that instead of the compulsion necessarily incorporate a modern element, has just been a real development, the should ensure that today's modern metal pendant get offered something which did not exist then.
Well, what can you say? - You are still ILL NIÑO and the one or other nostalgic smile while listening l guarentee no denying this is "Till Death, La Familia" but entirely in 2014 arrived and gives the Nu Metal times completely for granted a new incentive . It is very refreshing to see that ILL NIÑO remain true after such a long time and still constantly looking for development. One hears such entertaining 43 minutes and rarely allow me paying homage agu to a genuflection and hope that the Dread heads also can convince future generations.
