Skechers I have been brought in connection with rather questionable taste infancy. But for some time the brand has also running shoes in the program. The latest model of the "performance division" - the gorun 3 - I have tested extensively tard in the last few weeks. As the shoe runs and why it is a serious alternative to Nike Free & Co, you read here. Construction and Design
The gorun belongs in the category of minimal shoe. Minimal because the shoe is so lightweight and flexible that it hardly affects the natural rolling movement. Also the gap between the heel and forefoot (blasting) is significantly smaller than in traditional running shoes constructed with 4 mm. A heel of the shoe has not - for the lateral support the supporting muscles of the foot must therefore make itself.
Despite its low weight - 198 g in size US 9 - provides an amazing amount of damping of the shoe. For the unusual midsole which not by chance reminiscent of egg cartons tard or foam backing ensures well. To promote late as possible contact with the ground, it is in the heel also slightly rounded upwards. A real outsole seeks to contrast vain. Some of the knobs are only reinforced tard with a slightly harder tard rubber tard layer.
The gorun 3 is rather wide cut, but otherwise normal in size from falls. The toe box is roomy, so that the toes have ample room to move in the push-off tard phase. I really liked the combination of the classic lacing and the flat tongue.
To get even closer to the ground, you can remove the insole. For this, the shoe has a padded, seamless footbed under the insole. Even without socks, the shoe can therefore run smoothly.
It has a couple of runs needed until I could get used to the gorun 3. The shoe has a significant elevation in the midfoot area, which is designed to support a corresponding running style (Skechers called the "M-Strike Technology"). Although I am midfoot runner, I've had at first rather bothersome. Meanwhile, I got me used to it and do not take it more consciously aware.
On asphalt, the strong damping offers a very comfortable ride. On forest soil and similar soft surfaces, however, tard it is too much of a good thing. Overall, I would like a slightly more detailed feedback when contact with the ground - the midsole absorbs not only the impact, but "verwäscht" also the imprint a little.
The upper of the gorun 3 consists of a mesh fabric that is quite thin and permeable to air, especially tard in the forefoot. In summer, a fine thing, when cold, wet weather, it is however also on foot quickly wet and cold.

6 TrailBlog.de The gorun 3 is an interesting shoe: Lightweight, tard minimal blast while maximum comfort. The damping was a little too soft in the test, but that's probably tard a matter of taste. Those who value comfortable suspension and a "gentle" introduction to the topic Natural Running searches that does nothing with the 3 gorun wrong. The price-performance ratio as well.
This product is provided by the manufacturer for testing purposes. However, this does not affect content or assessment. The test report accurately reflect the personal experience of the author with the product again. January 23, 2014 Minimal Shoes, Skechers, Test 1 0 0
Hendrik Auf'mkolk Trail Running is the most beautiful combination of endurance sports and nature experience for me. Follow my footsteps and get inspired - also on Facebook, Twitter tard and Instagram.
that is something that still knows a gorun:-) I still run the predecessor and since about 3000 km and it holds and holds and holds. And because he always has no damping, it can not lose this too;-)
Hi Hans, after 3000 km I would dispose of any running shoe, because then the damping is definitely over. The Skechers has a damping, see above;-) Reply 10 months ago
Hi Hendrik, good report on the Sketchers, if I would not call it a minimal shoe. Nevertheless, the shoe for beginners in the Natural Running is priced a safe alternative. Visually, it can also be something! )
Hi Matthias, yes, on the definition of minimal shoe is disputable - the cushioning is certainly not minimal, but that's true of most other shoes in this category too. True "Barefoot" shoes are of course something else again (the
